My Fellow Parishioners,

Let me begin by thanking every one of you for your faithfulness and dedication to Saint David’s during this incredibly trying year.    Your support and dedication are most appreciated.

We have been blessed and renewed with a wonderful new Rector.   Jana has devoted herself to Saint David’s from the start.   While not able to meet with in person worship, she is getting to know her Saint David’s community using other methods.   She provides us with that spiritual presence we have been seeking over the years.  I truly look forward to her leadership for years to come.

This is a year about Renewal.   While the pandemic has created many issues for people and is still a formidable foe, it has also allowed many of us to slow down a bit and reflect upon our lives.   While we may not be able to worship in person, the pandemic has allowed us to learn new ways to worship that do not include our traditional building and gathering.   Online worship has allowed us to grow as we see people able to view our service that may not have been able to physically come to our building.

Even as we take precautions with how we interact and worship.   We at Saint David’s have been blessed with an abundance of people who contribute to our parish, in many ways.

COVID-19 has slowed time a bit to allow us to reflect and renew our spirit, and faith.    God is still present in our lives and watching over each of us.   It has allowed time to reflect how we may be better stewards through Saint David’s to our local, state, national and world communities.

It is often at this time of year we take time to reflect upon the year and give thanks for the blessings that we receive in our lives.  Even during COVID-19, I am very blessed and thankful for Saint David’s and all its members.   I truly can say that Saint David’s is part of my family.

This year our stewardship drive is a bit different due to circumstances.   I ask you to read over our Renewal booklet.   Consider what Saint David’s means to you and make your pledge based upon how your faith family helps to maintain you.   While we may be doing online worship, we still have a facility to maintain and a team to pay.   Your contribution helps us to be able to maintain our commitment to our faith community locally, statewide, nationally, and worldwide.

This year we will be offering the opportunity to mail your pledge card back to us and we will be also offering online giving this year.   We ask even if you choose to do online giving, you return your pledge card so that we may plan our budget accordingly.

Sincerely in Christ,

Ken Nogacek, Senior Warden
